You will be assigned a group. Teamwork is integral at EHL and you’ll experience it here. Your team will comprise students from other countries, program and/or regions.
This eligibility criteria allows eligibility to take advantage of potential prizes.
During the program you will learn about the Hospitality industry and we will give you the key knowledge to apply it to your business plan. Therefore, no Business or Hospitality background is required.
For the Group Assignment, your team must submit an Executive Summary via PDF including problem statement, differentiation, operational availability, team profile, etc. by your region's deadline.
Executive summary examples will be available on the platform for reference.
You are free to use any kind of technology, tools or datasets that can be found in the public domain as long as you are authorized and have valid licenses to use them.
Anything you submit throughout the competition remains as your intellectual property.
The Judging Panel will evaluate your team’s idea and select the top teams to progress to the Mentoring Phase based on four criteria: Idea & Concept, Technical Depth & Analysis, Marketing/Project Launch, Feasibility.
The announcement will be made on the second day of the event, the 2nd of March 2023.
If your team is in the Top 5 you will receive a mentor. The mentor will be an EHL Alumni. It will be your responsibility to coordinate a time to meet with your mentor.
Nothing, your mentor will provide guidance on your idea and final presentation on day 3.
The final teams who will progress to the Final will be announced at the conclusion of Day 2.
After Day 2, your Mentors will support and help you to refine your pitch. The panel sessions will also help you to prepare your pitch.
There will be no deliverables to submit. Groups will deliver their “pitch” at the final.
Each team will have the chance to pitch their Hospitality concept in a 10-minute presentation followed by 5 minutes of Q&A with the jury made up EHL Alumni. Once the jury panel arrives at a consensus, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th place winners are announced.
Similar to the judging criteria for Executive Summary submission, the rubrics are Idea & Concept, Technical Depth & Analysis, Marketing/Project Launch, Feasibility. We will also evaluate your presentation skills during the Final.
